Andrew Hampton has joined the TU efforts on the Cyber Fellowship Initiative as the Innovation Lead for Cyber Infrastructure. He works to foster cyber research at the university while strengthening ties with the Tulsa ecosystem. Groundbreaking research, entrepreneurial activity, and workforce development are key components of his focus. While earning his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from UNC, he witnessed firsthand a successful startup commercializing university research from the lab. This experience of seeing a real-world product based on cutting edge research inspired him to participate in the translational process of moving nascent inventions from the lab bench into commercial endeavors. For three years, he worked with Auburn University's Office of Innovation Advancement and Commercialization as a Licensing Officer.
