Having served as a nurse and EMT in critical care, emergency, and aeromedical settings, Hail began his career in healthcare administration in 2004 as a director of Emergency Services and led its advancement to a Level Three Trauma Facility. In response to the new role, Hail earned a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern State University. Accomplishments as Assistant VP of Emergency and Surgical Services included growth in surgical volume, addition of operating suites, and designation as a Primary Stroke Center. In 2012, Brian began his tenure as CEO for Cherokee Nation W.W. Hastings Hospital, bringing increased access to care, sustained improvements in patient satisfaction scores, designation as a Baby Friendly Hospital, ISO 9001 certification of its Quality Management System, and the award of a Joint Venture Construction Project from IHS to construct and operate a 469,000 square foot Outpatient Health Center on the Hastings Campus. With the growth of Health Services, Brian transitioned into current role as Deputy Executive Director of External Operations for Cherokee Nation Health Services, a Tribal health system of integrated health centers, hospital, emergency medical services, and rehabilitation facilities.
