Koma Gandy is Vice President, Head of Curriculum at Codecademy where she leads a team that delivers best-in-class interactive educational experiences to a global community of learners.  Prior to joining Codecademy, Koma held leadership roles at Morgan Stanley and EY, where she led teams that developed and implemented solutions to operational challenges for clients in the asset management sector.  Koma also held roles at The Cohen Group, Gottex Fund Management, and began her private sector career with Booz Allen Hamilton in their information assurance practice, working with Department of Defense/Department of the Navy initiatives to secure critical information systems.Koma served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy during the early years of integrating women on combatant vessels, and attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  Koma received a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, where she participated in the International Business Diplomacy Honors Certificate Program.  Koma also sits on the Board of USA Rugby, the National Governing Body for rugby in the United States and member of the US Olympic and Paralympic Committees, and also serves on the Board of several non-profits active in the New York City area.
