Kristen Brown is a recognised expert in energy system innovation. She currently leads product development at Electron, a London-based energy tech company accelerating the adoption of local, distributed energy markets. With over 10 years in academic, public, and private sectors, Kristen brings experience in innovation strategy, technical product design, team building, and strategic implementation. Prior to joining Electron, Kristen led energy innovation efforts in distributed energy resource integration and distribution market design at Exelon and Commonwealth Edison. She also served as a Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects – Energy, where she designed programs to address challenges in demand-side management, virtual travel, and grid management. Kristen earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Northwestern University, where she was a Presidential Fellow, and B.S. from Georgia Tech in chemical engineering.
