Liat Krawczyk is Assistant Vice President for Emerging Tech at the NYC Economic Development Corporation, where she helps lead Cyber NYC, a $100 million dollar suite of public-private investment to grow NYC’s Cybersecurity ecosystem. Prior to joining NYCEDC, Liat grew startups, social-enterprise ventures and innovation ecosystems in developed and frontier markets with a focus on emerging technologies such as humanitarian-impact tech and real estate tech/fintech. Liat is co-founder of The Jeneba Project, a non-profit organization that provides Sierra Leonean girls high-quality traditional and civic education, which most recently launched an all-girls’ high school in Lungi. She is also the producer and director of several documentary films. Liat was born to Argentinean parents and grew up moving between Israel and the U.S. She holds a B.A. in human rights and film and an M.A. in international development.
