Rami Younis

Rami M. Younis is an Associate Professor of Petroleum Engineering at The University of Tulsa. He is also the founder and director of the Future Reservoir Simulation Systems & Technology (FuRSST) industry-university research consortium. Dr. Younis’ technical background is in the intersection of Subsurface Engineering, Computer Science, and Applied Mathematics. His research portfolio includes fundamental advancements in computational methods and software infrastructure. It is driven by technology-centric applications in energy, geo-engineering, and the natural environment. Dr. Younis holds a doctoral degree in Petroleum Engineering and two master’s degrees in Scientific Computing & Computational Mathematics and Petroleum Engineering, all from Stanford University. In addition, he holds a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University in Canada. He is the author of over 70 technical publications, and he serves on the editorial boards for several journals and conferences.
