Sid McAnnally is president and chief executive officer of ONE Gas and a member of the ONE Gas Board of Directors.     Sid McAnnally joined ONE Gas in 2015 as senior vice president of operations responsible for the operation of its three natural gas utilities – Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, Kansas Gas Service and Texas Gas Service. He was promoted to chief operating officer in 2020, assuming additional responsibilities for the company’s administrative functions, including human resources, information technology and cyber security. His work includes consideration of how the domestic energy system can continue to deliver reliable and affordable energy while also addressing its impact on the environment.    Before joining ONE Gas, McAnnally was in private legal practice. He also served two Alabama Governors, one of each party, regarding public policy issues related to education reform and tax reform. Sid also has focused on issues of equity, inclusion and diversity, both as a corporate leader and during his time as a Trustee of the Alabama Civil Rights Institute.     McAnnally holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University. He has attended the Vanderbilt Divinity School and the Executive Education Program at the Harvard Business School where he has also lectured on crisis management.
