Sahee joined the TIL team as an Associate under the Tulsa Service Year program. Her professional interests lay at the intersection of biotechnology, healthcare, and economic development. At TIL, Sahee supports the virtual health portfolio’s corporate, university, and state policy initiatives.
Previously, Sahee spent two years working in Washington University’s Cognitive Control and Psychopathology Lab, studying schizophrenia, bipolar and major depressive disorder. She also worked with her local Syrian refugee community through Welcome Neighbor St. Louis, a program that helps refugees adjust to their new life in America through economic, health, social, and educational support programs.
Born in Washington DC, Sahee went on to get her primary education in Khartoum, Sudan, then returned to the U.S. to obtain a B.A in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. She plans to obtain her medical degree from an institution with an innovation in medicine program.
On a personal note, Sahee enjoys practicing yoga, gardening, and listening to medical and historical podcasts in her free time.
