Innovation News

Rose Rock Bridge, a non-profit pilot deployment studio powered by Tulsa Innovation Labs (TIL), has awarded four early-stage energy technology companies a shared $400,000 in non-dilutive funding to solve critical operational challenges facing the global energy market. Selected from a competitive pool of 86 global applicants, each company receives $100,000 to establish a presence in Tulsa, partner directly with major energy operators and support the creation of local jobs in the coming year.

Rose Rock Bridge provides a unique platform for emerging startups ready to move from development to real-world deployment. Working alongside corporate energy partners, the four awardees will scale field-tested technologies focused on operational agility and intelligence, fluid systems, robotics, and reservoir and production enhancement.

These four companies were selected from the 2026 cohort to move beyond pitching and into piloting, validating and deploying solutions alongside top industry operators.

  • Austere Environmental specializes in remediating soil that has been contaminated by jet fuel, diesel and crude oil.
  • BiaTech – helps energy and industrial operators understand, predict and optimize complex physical systems through technology that transforms real-world sensor data into intelligent models.
  • BigMachine AI – takes engineering drawings, more specifically: piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and converts them into live, structured and searchable engineering data.
  • Intellicess -  turns raw well data into physics-based models fit with AI-driven guidance.

Building, Testing and Scaling in Tulsa

Over the next 12 months, these four startups will undergo technical validation, field testing and pilot execution directly within corporate partner operations in Tulsa.

By bridging the gap between emerging startup technology and established industry leaders, Rose Rock Bridge continues to de-risk investment, fast-track commercial pathways and reinforce Tulsa’s position as a premier national energy hub.
